The Llopart family started production of sparkling wine in 1887 as Llopart was consolidated into a fine winemaking house in the mid-20th century by Pere Llopart i Vilaros. This makes Llopart the longest continuously run family owned sparkling wine house in Spain. The family owns a 500Ha. mountain estate, of which 20% is planted to vineyards.

In 2017, Llopart left the DO Cava to establish CORPINNAT as one of the six original founding growers with the goal of premiumizing the image of fine Spanish sparkling wines internationally.
